the tournament will be held Jan 17,18,24 and 25. Team event in Ames
and singles/doubles in Story City. There will be 3 shifts on
Saturday, 11:00, 2:00 and 5:00, and 2 shifts on Sunday, 11:00 and

decrease the women’s entry fee to $13.00 to try and attract more
women’s entries.

Jennings
gave the report that Everett
emailed her. All lanes have been certified. Lane dressing reports
are done in Ames and Nevada. The Committee is working on Story City
and Jewell and hope to have them done soon.

Hawkins
also reported on the Registered
Volunteer Program. We now have several people who have cleared the
USBC Registered Volunteer screening and are able to work with the
youth of our association. Those people are Kelly McPartland, Bari
Blanford, Kevin Deal, Greg Knop, Keith Hawkins and Teri Jennings.
Both Sports Bowl and Carousel Lanes have agreed to have their centers
participate and we are waiting for the information so we can have
their employees who will be working with the youth screened. The
cost of screening is $25.00 and the board has voted to budget $250.00
toward the screening.
-
9-Pin tournament-
Hawkins
gave the committee report. We
had 19 sets of Doubles entries and 35 Singles entries in last
weekend’s 9-pin tournament held at 20th Century in Ames.
There were no 300 games shot in the doubles event in Ames so the
$35.00 from the optional pot will carry over to Sports Bowl. Lowell
Huggins, Al Glick, and Todd Spear shot 300 games in the singles
event. They will share $32.00 from the Ames pot, plus the $37.00
carryover from the optional 300 pot in Story City. Thanks to Terri
Loneman, Jo Mortvedt, Kevin Holm and Patti McCoy for working the
tournament. Special thanks to 20th Century and the staff
for hosting the tournament. Our next tournament will be held at
Sports Bowl in Nevada on December 13 & 14.
