Meeting Notes:
President
Knop called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m.
Roll
call of officers and directors was taken. Present were President
Greg Knop, 1st VP Bryan Carsrud, 2nd VP Terri
Loneman, Ames VP Cari McPartland, Story City VP Jo Mortvedt, Jewell
VP Eudune Lund. Directors present were Patti McCoy, Deb Robinson,
Jarad Prescott, Lowell Crouse and Jerry Everett, and Youth Rep Kelly
McPartland. Association Manager Teri Jennings was also present. Excused
from the meeting were 3rd VP Tim Kadolph, Nevada
VP Cheryl Devore directors Terri Carriere, Jane Hinman youth
Directors that were excused were Aslynne Carriere and Patti Beck.
Unexcused from the meeting was Kevin Holm. We had a quorum.
Mortvedt
moved to accept the minutes of the previous meeting. McCoy seconded
the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Loneman
made the motion to accept the treasurer report as written. Mortvedt
seconded motion. MCU.
COMMITTEE
REPORTS:

Tournament
Committee - C.
McPartland gave the tournament report. Between 75 and 100 sponsor
letters have been mailed out. McPartland asked for help doing
follow-ups on the donation letters. She stated that we needed
several $300.00 sponsors, which would cover Open team, Open singles,
Open doubles and instant cash. We need a total of $1500.00-$1800.00
to cover all of the division sponsorships. The sponsor letter
included a new sponsorship option that would name the tourney after
the sponsor who donated $1000.00. Doll Distributing and other beer
distributors have been asked to donate banners for all of the houses
advertising the tournament. McPartland wants the entry forms in the
houses by Dec 1. Tournament entry deadline is Fri Jan 2. We are
trying to have all of our sponsor money by Nov 15th

Lane
Certification - Everett
reported that the lane dressing reports was done in Ames, they were
going to rerun the tapes in story City, had Nevada scheduled for
Monday and thought they might do Jewell today. Everett said that
because of all the honor scores rolled in Ames, he was going to do
another land dressing tape in Ames.

Budget &
Finance committee -Carsrud presented the 08/09 budget for
approval. MCU

9-Pin tournament-
Jennings
read the report that Hawkins gave her. The first of our 9-pin
tournaments was held in Story City on Oct 18th and 19th.
We had 37 bowlers in the singles event and 24 entries in the doubles
event. We had $37.00 in the optional singles 300 jackpot. Since
there were no 300 bowled in this event it will carryover to Ames. We
had $48.00 in our optional doubles 300 jackpot. Jim Beck was the
only bowler to roll a 300 in the doubles and was awarded the jackpot.

Youth Committee
report-K McPartland reported that the youth association team
event will be held in Story City in two weeks and they were going to
combine the doubles and singles events in 1 house, Nevada, date not set
yet.
OLD
BUSINESS:
The
next meeting will be the Hall of Fame meeting on Nov 12 in Nevada at
the American Legion.
Mortvedt
made the motion to adjourn the meeting and McCoy seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 9:58.
