Meeting Notes:
Meeting
was called to order at 6:02 by 1st VP Bryan Carsrud. Roll
call of officers and directors was taken Present were 1st
VP Bryan Carsrud, 2nd VP Terri Loneman, 3rd VP
Tim Kadolph, Story City VP Jo Mortvedt, Ames VP Cari McPartland,
Jewel VP Eudene Lund, Directors: Jerry Everett, Patti McCoy, Terri
Carriere, Jarad Prescott, Jane Hinman and Lowell Crouse, Youth
Directors: Aslynne Carriere and Kelly McPartland. Excused from the
meeting were President Greg Knop, Director Kevin Holm and youth Rep
Patti Beck. Unexcused from the meeting was director Deb Robinson
(later we found out she was sick with the flu).
The
minutes of the previous meeting were amended and Prescott and
seconded by Carriere. Motion carried unanimously. The treasurer
report was corrected and Loneman made the motion to accept the report
as amended. Seconded by Mortvedt. MCU.
COMMITTEE
REPORTS:

Certification
Committee Everett
stated that they were starting the lane dressing inspections. Perfect
Games was done. Equipment would be given to Carsrud, Crouse and
Prescott so they could do Sports Bowl and 20th Century.
Everett said he would then do Axis Lanes and Story City

Youth
Committee - K. McPartland said the youth
tournament would be held late
November or early December. Team will be held in 1 of the centers and
Doubles and Singles held together in a different center.

9-Pin
Tournament - 9-pin
Committee-See written report. Hawkins also left us a brief rundown
of how things were going during this weekend’s tournament. We
also discussed possibly having another 9-pin tournament in Story City
due to the low participation.
OLD BUSINESS:

Bowler’s to Veterans Link
Mail-In Tournament- Jennings reminded everybody that the tournament
deadline is November 1st for the entries. If she got them by
Friday October 30th, she would be able to get the labels
stuck on the forms and mailed out.

ISUSBCBA Jamboree- report was
in the packet.
NEW BUSINESS:

League Certification—Jennings
reported that there were 2 leagues in Nevada and all of the leagues in
Jewell that have not turned in their league applications and membership
cards. She asked the league reps to talk to the secretaries asking them
to get the turned in.

New Awards Sheets-Jennings
reminded everybody that as of the beginning of the season, USBC is
issuing different awards from the previous season and that the
secretaries that were using the old version of the secretary software
were turning in awards that weren’t applicable.

Ad for Ottumwa Tournament
Books- The ad for the Ottumwa book was amended and approved for
submittal to the Ottumwa association.

Association Tournament-
Jennings handed out lists of sponsors to be called on. Letters have
already been mailed.
