Meeting Notes:
President
Knop called the meeting to order at 9:17 am.
Roll
call of officers and directors was taken. Present were President
Greg Knop, 1st
VP Bryan Carsrud, 2nd
VP Terri Loneman, Story City VP Jo Mortvedt, Nevada VP Cheryl Devore.
Directors present were Patti McCoy, Deb Robinson, Terri Carriere,
Jarad Prescott, Jane Hinman, Lowell Crouse, and Kevin Holm. Youth
Representatives present were Aslynne Carriere. Excused from the
meeting were 3rd
VP Tim Kadolph, Ames VP Cari McPartland, Jewell VP Eudune Lund,
Director Jerry Everett, Youth Reps Kelly McPartland and Patti Beck,
and Past President Keith Hawkins.
Carsrud
made the motion to accept the minutes of the April 25, 2009 meeting
as written. Mortvedt seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously.
The
minutes of the August 1, 2009 meeting were amended. McCoy made the
motion to accept the minutes as amended. Loneman seconded. MCU.
Loneman
made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report as written. Carriere
seconded the motion. MCU.
COMMITTEE
REPORTS:

Certification
Committee -
Everett
wasn’t present at the meeting but had email me to say that the lane
certifications are complete at all 5 centers. They will be doing the
lane dressing readings soon.

Ames Area USBC
Tournament -
Jennings
said she was hoping to get the sponsor letters out in early October. It
was decided that the list of businesses that we send out sponsor
letters to should be emailed to the board and everybody would look it
over and email additional business to Jennings.

9-Pin
Tournament -
Jennings
told everybody the dates that Hawkins had set up for the tournaments
and talked about the increase in price from $14.00 to $15.00 with 50
cents to the house and 50 cents to the prize fund. The date was not
confirmed yet for Perfect Games. Bryan Kinneer, owner Perfect Games
came in and introduced himself and confirmed the date for Perfect
Games.
OLD BUSINESS:

Committee Assignments-
Jennings let everybody know that the committee assignments were in the
packet.

League Liaison
Assignments-Jennings gave everybody the league liaison assignments and
reminded everybody to meet with their leagues.
NEW BUSINESS:
-
BVL Mail-in Tournament-
Jennings let the board know when the BVL tournament will be held and
told everybody that she would print out labels to be put on the entry
blanks when she receives the leagues sanctions. She asked that all of
the league liaisons go to their leagues and try to get participation in
the tournament.

Iowa State USBC BA Jamboree-
The Jamboree will be held the first weekend in October. Jennings will
be attending. Prescott and Crouse said they would also be attending.
The
next meeting date will be Saturday October 24, 2009 at 6:00 pm at
Perfect Games in Ames. The Hall of Fame banquet will be held
Wednesday November 18 at American Legion in Nevada.

made the motion to adjourn meeting, T. Carriere seconded the motion.
