Meeting Notes:
President
Knop called the meeting to order at 10:27.
Roll
call of officers and directors was taken. Present were President
Greg Knop, 1st
VP
Bryan Carsrud, 3rd
VP Tim Kadolph, Story City VP Jo Mortvedt, Ames VP Cari McPartland,
Jewell VP Eudune Lund. Directors present were Jerry Everett, Patti
McCoy, Terri Carriere, and Jane Hinman. Youth representative Aslynne
Carriere was also present as was Past President Keith Hawkins. Excused
from the meeting were 2nd
VP Terri Loneman, Nevada VP Cheryl Devore, Directors: Deb Robinson,
Jarad Prescott, Lowell Crouse and Kevin Holm, Youth reps Patti Beck
and Kelly McPartland. We didn’t have a quorum and all items to
vote on were tabled.
We
introduced our guest, Kara DeShaw, who is the new league coordinator
at Perfect Games. Kara was invited to the meeting so she could meet
the board members and kind of get an idea of what the board does.
COMMITTEE
REPORTS:

Certification
Committee - Everett
reported that certification for Perfect Games has been completed. The
rest of the centers will be done in early August. It was also
reported that Sports Bowl has resurfaced their lane during the summer
and will be getting automatic scoring this year.

Scholarship
Committee
- Jennings
reported that the Scholarship committee has awarded 2 scholarships
this year. The winners were Aslynne Carriere and Tyler Olson. They
each received a plaque and a $250.00 scholarship.

RVP - Hawkins
reported changes in the RVP. Starting Aug 1, there will be no
preregistration to be done by the registered volunteer supervisor.
Anybody who wants to be a registered volunteer will go to bowl.com
and registration themselves. They will be responsible for payment at
the time of registration. Price of the screening has decreased from
$25.00 to $21.25.
OLD BUSINESS:

National Convention- Hawkins
gave his report. See attached.

Ames Area USBC Tournament- C. McPartland has resigned from running the
tournament this year due to her work schedule. The dates for the
tournament were decided and we will hold the team event in Nevada and
the Doubles/Singles in Ames at Perfect Games. Dates are Feb 20,21,27,28
and Mar 6, and 7. Shifts will be held at 1:00 and 5:00.

Committee Assignments- The
committee assignment sheets were included in the packet for the meeting.

League Liaisons- It was
decided that the league liaisons would stay the same as last year.

Youth League Dues- Jennings
discussed the youth dues changes so that all the board were aware of
the changes in the dues.
The
next meeting will be Saturday September 19, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at
Perfect Games.
