COMMITTEE REPORTS:

  1. Tournament Committee -

    C. McPartland reported that we were able to secure $1,400 from sponsors, and 17 businesses donated door prizes. She thanked everyone that assisted in securing the donations, including Randy Moore. $208.50 was distributed in the Instant Cash this year, of which $150.00 was donated. Donations for the youth program were $211.71 and $863.50 was raised through the 50/50 raffle. There were 37 open teams, 7 women’s teams, 78 open doubles, 12 women’s doubles, 154 open singles, 24 women’s singles, 135 open all-events-handicapped, 21 open all-events scratch, and 16 women’s all-events. These numbers were down from last year, but the tournament being held earlier, people being busier and the economic times were thought to play a part in that. Thank you notes have been sent and Teri made gift certificates. Instead of spending money on trophies, certificates and additional money will be given to the winners. Various ideas were discussed to increase participation in the tournament next year. Everett suggested that the tournament be held during one week of the regular season. Another idea that was suggested was to have the Hall of Fame presentation during the Membership meeting.

  2. Membership Committee Burke donated food (biscuits, gravy, and sausage). Sara Lee donated rolls and sticky buns. The board will purchase fruit, milk, juice, and coffee. C. McPartland will work on door prizes.

  3. RVPKeith Hawkins was not present

  4. 9-Pin tournament

    Keith Hawkins was not present.

OLD BUSINESS:

    1. ISUSBC Bowl for the Cure Mail-in Tournament: Loneman read a note from Teri asking for any score sheets to be left in her folder.

    2. Scholarships were discussed. We are hoping that there will be some interest this year as no forms were submitted last year.

We set the date for the next meeting as Saturday, April 25 at 9:00 am at 20th Century Bowling in Ames. The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 am.

Respectfully submitted
Terri Loneman
